UCF Lake Nona Medical Center, a partnership hospital between HCA Healthcare’s North Florida Division and UCF Academic Health, will open in March 2021, transforming Central Florida’s healthcare community on a journey toward an academic medical approach. Located in Orlando’s Medical City at Lake Nona, the $175-million teaching hospital will provide healing for patients throughout Central Florida and beyond, educate the healthcare providers of the future and support the work of brilliant medical researchers that will lead to lifesaving care. UCF Lake Nona Medical Center will be three stories, 204,709 square feet, with 64 inpatient beds and designed to expanded as community need demands.
When it opens in 2021, UCF Lake Nona Medical Center will play a vital role in educating the providers of tomorrow. The hospital is designed to accommodate students, with education spaces throughout the facility, and will educate many types of learners including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, medical technologists and health administrators.
