Julissa Alvarez is the Clinical Research Manager overseeing all pharmaceutical-sponsored research for Envision Healthcare. Before being named Clinical Research Manager in 2022, Julissa originally joined Envision in 2018 as Clinical Research Coordinator, she was promoted to Regulatory Research Specialist in 2019 and served as Interim Clinical Research Manager in 2021. Prior to joining Envision, Dr. Alvarez spearheaded various research projects at the University of Miami and Columbia University. Julissa takes pride in making a difference when it comes to saving peoples’ lives or improving their quality of life by exploring new therapies, devices and/or procedures. She has collaborated on several publications and clinical trials within cardiovascular, pulmonary, neonatology, radiology, anesthesia and obstetrics-gynecology. She earned her medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic where she also earned a doctorate degree in higher education before coming to the US, where she completed an advanced certificate in public health at New York University.
